As part of the 6-month Certificate Course in Shipping Logistics and Supply Chain Management by IIM Mumbai in collaboration with FFFAI, we organized a field visit on October 7th 2024 for the participants. This visit was a key component of the program, offering valuable real-world exposure to port operations, container handling, and logistics processes.

The participants had a unique and enriching experience, gaining in-depth insights into port operations, logistics planning, and sustainability practices at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) and the NSFT terminal in Navi Mumbai.

The journey began at the "Shiv Samarth Smarak" (JNPA Museum), where we explored Mumbai's rich maritime history through 27 vibrant murals and the towering statues of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Samarth Ramdas-a truly inspiring start!

The exploration continued at the JNPA Administration Building, where SMT. Ambika Singh (Sr. Manager, Marketing Section) offered a comprehensive and insightful presentation on JNPA's diverse operations, from container and liquid cargo to general cargo terminals.
